1964 Dextra Custom Surfboard Vintage Longboard Mint
I am selling my 1964 Dextra Custom 9′ 10″ Vintage Longboard. This board is in perfect shape. It was used for one season cleaned and hung in a barn for almost 50 years. For those who want to ride it, it rides perfectly with it’s narrow width and 50/50 rails it turns well and trims like a dream. For those who collect you probably know this was a pop out, but one of the few that really worked. It is a perfect rider and/or wall hanger. There is no damage, no holes, no cracks no knee dents…..It was made in 1964 in Costa Mesa, CA. the bottom is just as nice as the deck, I just forgot to take the picture. The fin is in perfect shape. It is the ”D” shaped white fiberglass fin. In 1964 Dextra did not use any sun blocker or UV stabilizers so although these boards were common they are typically dark brown and baked from being left outside. This board is crisp & clean white like the day it was made. It had a nice coating of dust to protect it in the barn. I wold love to sell this to someone locally, but am willing to box and ship via Amtrak if needed. Email me with any questions before bidding. Great for those VINTAGE surf contests that require a pre 70s board. Why drag out a cooked clunker you paid too much for. The board is in original shape and has not ever had any repairs. I simply polished it by hand to remove the old wax and dust.
